Mindfulness is the psychological process of bringing one's attention to experiences occurring in the present moment. It allows us to notice how things ‘really are’ and to cultivate attitudes that make us happier and healthier. These attitudes include being ‘non-judgmental’, being ‘kind to ourselves’ and learning to ‘accept’ and ‘let go’.
Joseph Pilates rightly believed that mental and physical health was closely connected. As a Mindfulness teacher as well as a Pilates teacher I have discovered that combining these two effective systems has led to greater results for my clients in terms of physical and mental wellbeing.
